Welcome to Coyote Motel East

The Coyote Motel East in Limon, Colorado, is a modest, no-frills motel that caters to travelers seeking reliable, budget-friendly accommodations just off the I-70 corridor. Nestled six blocks from the freeway and within reasonable reach of the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, it serves as a practical stopover for road trippers and visitors exploring eastern Colorado.

With a 3.8-star rating, the motel presents a mixed but generally warm picture. Guests consistently praise the staff's friendliness and welcoming attitude, highlighting the genuine hospitality that can make a significant difference, especially for visitors unfamiliar with the area. One guest, identifying the owner’s kindness during a stressful roadside breakdown, underscores the motel’s inviting atmosphere amid uncertainty.

Rooms at Coyote Motel East emphasize basic comfort and cleanliness over luxury. Although furnishings are sparse—lacking clocks, desks, and coffee pots—visitors find the accommodations adequately clean and functional. The bathrooms receive particular commendation for their spotless condition, dispelling any worries about hygiene. Staying here means opting for simplicity: tube TVs sans color and straightforward room layouts.

The motel’s amenities—free Wi-Fi, free parking, pet-friendliness, and accessibility—cover essential needs without overreach. The absence of on-site restaurants, pools, or fitness centers maintains the focus on value and practicality. While some past experiences reflect dated features and chilly rooms, recent impressions suggest improvements and a respectful nod to changing times.

Ultimately, Coyote Motel East offers a humble refuge on the road. It may not dazzle with modern luxuries but stands firm as a clean, welcoming, and economical choice. For travelers valuing warm service over extravagance, it quietly delivers just enough, making it a dependable option in Limon's landscape.

Got stranded here in a blizzard years ago…2019 I’d say…tube TV with no color, my bed was colder than the room itself, pretty awful experience. Stopped by today to relive the memory. I’ll give them 5 stars since it was years ago and maybe they’ve changed.

My family and I are traveling across the country and our car broke down at the gas station right across from three motel. As a black man, in that part of the country, I wasn't really sure about the area as I'm not from there. But the owner saw me outside and was very nice and welcoming, as was everyone i encountered. The room was a lot cheaper than I expected so I didn't have high hopes for the room itself. But the room was very nice and very clean. I would definitely stay there again. My family WA with me and at no time whatsoever did I feel any sense of danger or unease. I highly recommend it if you're passing through and need a place.

I was here on a Monday so there was a discount in effect but you can’t beat this place for $70. I’ve seen way worse rooms at $120 off peak. Friendly staff at 10pm when I arrived. CLEAN. Bathroom was spotless. No sign of previous occupant anywhere. Room was barebones. TV worked, but no clock, desk, or coffee pot in the room. At this rate though, who cares.
